Word Problem

This is my Word problem. I had to talk about my the strategy i learnt this week and make a word problem about it. I like this strategy because it is a fast way to solve maths questions.

Run, Jump and Throw

Today Room 5 did Kiwi sports with Andy. We did run, jump and throw. We learnt heaps of skills. These are some skills we learnt, high knees, stand tall, light feet, cheek to cheek with arm movements and stand tall.  She also taught us some good tips for a good start. Here's one, never look at the starter. We all had a fun time with Andy.

Home Learning: Pay it Foward

As part of our home learning we had to pay it forward to help out someone in our family. I chose to help my brother do his maths homework. He was very grateful because I helped him with his times tables in maths. I felt really helpful

Rm 5 have been doing art with Mrs Donaldson. We have been learning how to make and paint a sunflower. This is my painting of a sunflower it was quite hard to make the peddles.

Use the information in your ifake text to help you write a conversation between two people. Remember our focus today is to correctly punctuate the dialogue. Make sure you have: Used speech marks to show what is being said. Begin a new line to show that a new person is speaking. Use the correct punctuation . , ! ? to show how the words were said (set the mood)

“Hi Manu, do you think we should provide breakfast For Nz schools?” asked Zahn.

“No!” gasped Manu.

“Why do you think that?” wonderd Zahn.

“Because parents should be responsible for their own kids breakfast.”

“Good idea but i think that we should provide breakfast for Nz Schools.”

“Why do you think that?”

Thought Manu

“How would you feel if came to school without breakfast, starving and all you are thinking about is food?”

Questioned Zahn.

“Wow i like that idea as well.”

And people need energy to participate and contribute. Also it makes kids want to take part in activities and keeps kids focused in their learning.

Wow, we both have really good solution

Replied Manu.

“Yeah!”

Laughed Zahn.

“But i still think we shouldn’t provide breakfast because Teachers shouldn’t be paying us kids to be having breakfast every morning. They can spend the money on more usefall things like P.E equipment.”

This is my Cook Island homework. I had to find facts and information about the Cook Islands.I made this homework stand out with all the colors and pictures. Did you know that there are 15 islands that make up the Cook Islands.

This is my popplet about speech marks. I worked with Manu and Jacob. Rm 5 had to be creative and we weren't allowed to use google draw or google slides we had to use something like prezi, goanimate, popplet, powtoon and just use other things like that.

This is a maths game called sketch's world. you have to choose a number and it gives you questions and when you answer all of them up to ten and then you go to a level  and you around collecting pencils and you jump on top the eraser to destroy it.
